Originally known as the Wild Bunch, we have been performing since 1977 in the Willits Frontier Days parade, park, and rodeo. The club is comprised of good and bad guys, gunfighters, saloon/dance hall girls, a traveling preacher, bootleggers, school marm and old pioneers. We strive for authenticity through our costumes, props, and characters we portray.
Our main goal is for the audience (and the group) to have fun. We provide good old western entertainment and keep the memory of the old west alive. Each show begins with a gun safety demonstration that shows just what a blank can do. Each member of our club is insured through THE REENACTORS and goes through a gun safety course prior to participating in any skits.
We may appear to be obnoxious, drinking moonshine or whiskey OR a little flirtatious…It’s all a part of the act. We mingle with the audience before and after shows autographing Black Bart money and posing for photos and videos encouraging audience members to interact during our shows. Watch what you might say… you might get arrested. When the traveling preacher goes to take center stage you best be ready for shotgun weddings.
The Black Bart Gunfighters Club is a non-profit organization. Money earned goes to a Willits High School Scholarship for graduating seniors as well as helping with insurance and ammo costs. We appreciate your support.
In addition to local performances we book shows in advance and travel to various locations outside of Willits; private parties, weddings, birthdays, and other special events.
